Intensive Kaizen with Government and Customers

APM Terminals Bahrain successfully organized an in-depth 3-day Kaizen event with the aim of enhancing services at the port, focusing on our Container Freight Station (CFS). This collaborative initiative brought together key stakeholders, including the Port Maritime Authority, Customs, and Bahrain Customs Clearance Society.

During the Kaizen event, participants engaged in structured discussions to identify customer pain points and visited the shed to visualize the current state of the operations at the CFS. The team engaged with customers to gather their feedback which have supported with the outcomes of the kaizen. Countermeasures were then formulated and are set to be tested during the trial phase in the coming weeks.

APM Terminals Bahrain and Bahrain Customs maintain regular collaborative efforts encouraging ongoing discussions and actions to continually improve port services and provide seamless experiences for our customers.
