Future of logistics

APM Terminals Bahrain actively contributes to Bahrain's Vision 2030, fostering talent in the logistics Industry, developing future leaders, and revealing maritime expertise to the next generation. The company launched the "Future of Logistics" initiative in October 2023, aiming to develop the right calibre of skills in the logistics industry. 

Spanning three months, this year’s edition of the program engaged 11 interns in hands-on experiences, real-world projects, and mentorship within the port. 

The program empowers students to gather and analyse primary and secondary data, providing direct coaching by health and safety professionals. Interns were equipped with tools to support them in developing their report on the projects they worked on.  

Interns concluded the program by presenting their industry projects to APM Terminals Bahrain’s senior management and Bahrain Polytechnic representatives, focusing on safety solutions, potentially deployable globally.
