APM Terminals Algeciras to assist in the transfer of 50 Ukrainian children to the Campo de Gibraltar

APM Terminals Algeciras will collaborate in the evacuation and transfer to Campo de Gibraltar of 50 Ukrainian minors who are in the Snovsk orphanage and in surrounding villages. This is one of the projects sponsored by company employees selected in the ninth edition of the Social Action Awards, which will help 14 associations with more than 36,000 euros for their various social causes.

"Your work deserves the greatest thanks, as we do every year with the Social Action Awards, because with the constant work you do in each of your areas you are changing the world positively," said Jesús Cáceres, director of Operations at APM Terminals Algeciras.

In addition to the Children of Ukraine and Andalusia association, sponsored by Diego González Solano, the jury selected Besana Campo de Gibraltar Down Syndrome Association project, sponsored by Francisco Lara Jiménez, to help pay for the rental of a home for a year to teach its users how to develop in their daily lives.

On the other hand, APM Terminals Algeciras will finance part of the end-of-course trip for users of the Asperger-TEA Campo de Gibraltar association, sponsored by Pedro Javier Corral, and the Nuestra Señora del Rocío de Algeciras brotherhood, will make use of the help of the Social Action Awards, sponsored by Rosario Ramos, to buy water toys for a summer camp for children from families in a situation of social exclusion. This same group will be the beneficiary of the purchase of toys from the Reyes Magos 98 Benevolent Association, sponsored by Juan Enrique del Río.

Caritas of the parish of Nuestra Señora de la Palma and the Brotherhood Ecce-Homo and Estrella de Algeciras will use the aid, sponsored by José Saucedo and Isabel Ortega, respectively, to pay for basic supplies to disadvantaged families. In total, some 160 families will benefit from this aid.

Several have been the groups that will improve the equipment in their facilities. This is the case of the Aires association, sponsored by Sabrina Alex and the association of Parents with People with Intellectual Disabilities (Apadis), which will use the aid for its day center, with María Pérez Lozano as godmother. Also, from the associations Fibromyalgia Campo de Gibraltar, sponsored by Margarita Gaitán, Family, Friends and People with Mental Illness (FAEM), whose sponsor is Paco Moncayo, and Autism Cádiz, 





























































sponsored by Mariano Muñoz, who will acquire new furniture for the facilities of the association.

Other assistance groups, such as Apropadis 2.0, sponsored by Carlos Leal, will repair the lift ramp and the roof of the entity's vehicle, and the Cadiz Association of Ataxias (Agata), with Rosario Ramos as godmother, will take 10 of its users to equine therapy.
